It involves the screening of a mucosa relevant to a specific UN issue, followed by a Q&A with reputed speakers – either unfluctuating to the film, to the issue in question, or to both.It offers the opportunity to participants to watch premieres of highly acclaimed, topnotch documentaries and write questions to senior UN officials and other personalities.The initiative started small in 2007, screening films to audiences of less than 40 at the UNRIC office in Brussels. Since then, it has grown exponentially and monthly mucosa screenings now have audiences of up to 1,200.Cine-ONU screenings have been held in many cities including London, Vienna, Madrid, Geneva and Helsinki, with a total ubiety of over 85,000 people.The team has received very positive feedback from the audience;“It’s unconfined that European audiences are worldly-wise to watch high-impact films like yesterday’s.
